SHEILA
Sheila first stepped into real estate in 1990, assisting her husband in Edmonton and quickly falling in love with the industry. In 2002, she became Office Administrator at a busy RE/MAX office in Calgary, and in 2013 was honored as Administrator of the Year for RE/MAX Western Canada - a career highlight!
Retirement didn’t slow her down; Sheila joined her daughter, Karen Hagglund, as a virtual assistant and together they launched You Get Real.

With a background in publishing and a sharp eye for detail, Sheila is passionate about helping agents cut through paperwork, focus on clients, and find balance between business and family. This industry is ever-changing, never dull, and she takes immense pride in what the team has built.

KAREN
Karen has been immersed in the real estate world for more than 25 years, building a reputation not only for her expertise but for her adaptability in an industry that never stands still. She takes pride in staying ahead of rapidly evolving technologies, ensuring that every client interaction is seamless, efficient, and memorable.

CHARLOTTE
We’re fortunate to have Charlotte on our team. With more than 12 years of experience as a real estate paralegal, she brings a deep understanding of real estate law that makes her transition into the role of real estate assistant seamless.
Her background provides clients with a broad base of knowledge and the confidence that every detail is handled with precision.

Charlotte also brings years of exceptional customer service to the table, ensuring that our clients feel supported at every step.
Beyond her real estate expertise, she is co-owner of a graphic design company with her husband, which means she can offer creative solutions for all your visual and branding needs.​​​

GLENN
Glenn built his business on being truthful, honest and a highly ethical real estate agent with his clients and fellow realtors. Always going above and beyond what was expected of him. After 47 years, he felt it was time to make a change and I had the opportunity to join his wife and daughter ‘s virtual assistant company.
You Get Real has built a thriving, accomplished company on the same core principles that guided Glenn in his business. His role with You Get Real is primarily advisory, serving as both a strategist and problem solver. This gives him the opportunity to put his industry knowledge into practice every day, helping the team and our clients achieve lasting success.​​​

BRENDA
Brenda enjoys working with people and takes pride in helping them achieve their goals. With more than 35 years of experience as a real estate assistant, she has supported countless Realtors in guiding their clients - whether selling a current home, finding a dream property, or purchasing their very first home.
​
She stays current with the latest technology and client management programs in the real estate industry, ensuring her work is efficient and effective. Brenda’s focus is clear: to help Realtors spend more time with their clients and families, and less time buried in paperwork.

BECKY
Becky is a people person with a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology and a certificate in Intercultural Communications. When her oldest son was born, she transitioned from a career in informal education to pursue her real estate license, knowing she wanted a role that fit better with family life. As a third‑generation Calgarian, she was excited to share her love of the city with others.

After several years as an agent and the arrival of her second son, she realized that while she loved the industry, the role of Realtor wasn’t the right fit. During her time as an agent, she had the pleasure of working with Sheila, and when the opportunity arose to collaborate again, she embraced it wholeheartedly.
​
At You Get Real, she combines her knowledge as a former Realtor with her strengths in organization, attention to detail, marketing, and more. She loves helping others - now not buyers and sellers directly, but the professionals who support them.

MARY
Real estate has been a lifelong passion for Mary. She loves the excitement of a new - or “new to you” home, and is inspired by the possibilities of renovations and creating spaces that truly feel like home. Over the years, her career has spanned several fields, from her college training as a Rehabilitation Specialist working with individuals with physical and mental disabilities, to teaching in Special Education, running her own business as a Reiki Master and Aromatherapist, and serving as a Disaster Services Specialist with the Red Cross. Interwoven throughout all of this, she has worked in virtually every aspect of real estate - from Receptionist and Data Entry to Office Manager, Conveyancer, and Executive Assistant.

Mary has had the opportunity to work in real estate offices ranging from 2 to 300 agents. During her 30-plus years in the industry, she has embraced the changes she’s witnessed, from carbon copy handwritten contracts to digital signing from anywhere in the world. While not a salesperson, she understands the importance of ensuring that every stage of the client’s experience is considered, and her role in completing the “paperwork” is a critical component of that process.

Her strengths and experience allow agents to focus on their clients - listing and selling more homes - while knowing the back-end details are handled with care. For her, the essence of real estate is helping to make people’s dreams come true. She is proud to be part of the You Get Real team and is dedicated to diligently assisting each agent she works with. Together, dreams come to fruition.

At You Get Real, Brenda (Dani) B is our go‑to social media strategist. With her sharp eye for messaging and design, she transforms market insights into posts that resonate with audiences and drive engagement. Brenda blends creativity with data‑driven precision, ensuring every caption, graphic, and campaign feels both authentic and impactful.
